Partners
Having cultivated an extensive network of partnerships since its launch at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP) 22 in 2016, the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) continues to partner with all FAO Member Nations. These partnerships provide the opportunity to collaboratively deepen engagement with identified priorities and solutions to address water scarcity in agriculture.
Current and prospective partners with WASAG comprise state actors and intergovernmental organizations such as governments, public and governmental agencies, United Nations (UN) agencies and international financial institutions (IFI), academia and research institutions, civil society organizations and non governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector organizations, including social enterprises, trade associations and foundations.
Partners of WASAG lead thematic working groups and taskforces, fostering collaboration among partners and stakeholders to achieve the objectives of their thematic area. In this way, they generate knowledge products, provide capacity development, and support the development of policies, strategies and advocacy efforts.
