Unlocking opportunity crops for climate resilience in water-scarce environments: Lessons from Malawi

To build resilience to climate change, particularly drought, while also improving nutrition and promoting biodiversity, FAO developed the Addressing Water Scarcity in Agriculture and the Environment (AWSAMe) initiative. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity by promoting indigenous, drought-resilient and nutritious crops with the potential to improve biodiversity.
