Besides representatives from IFAD (Thomas Elhaut, SSD Director and Constanza Di Nucci) and France (Pierre Fabre, CIRAD, ES  Director), the meeting was opened up to WAW Partners (CITE, through a videoconference  from Antanarivo) and to FAO key stakeholders for WAW, namely: Rob Vos, ESP Director, Coordinator of SO3; Christophe Duhamel, Coordinator for the global strategy for improved rural and agricultural statistics, representing Pietro Gennari, ESS Director; Francesco Pierri, OPCA; Elisabeth Beer, coordinator for the SO3 regional initiatives; Jairo Castano, ESS, Coordinator for the census team; Jean-Marc Faures, NRL, senior officer; Jacques Pages, Permanent Representation of France.

During the Steering Committee meeting (see agenda) the WAW Secretariat presented a report on the main achievements for the Initiative, since its inception in 2011, up to the end of 2013, and a framework for action for 2014-2015, and its related plan of work and budget.

Patrick Rasolofo, Director of the CITE in Madagascar presented the WAW activities in his country. See his presentation.
