Technical Launch of The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2025 report

Ankara (Türkiye), 21/10/2025

Organized by FAO and the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Türkiye (TEPAV), this event will present the findings of The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2025 report, which tracks global progress toward ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The report provides the latest data and analysis on hunger, food security and nutrition, including updated estimates on the cost and affordability of healthy diets. This year’s edition highlights the impact of persistent inflation on purchasing power and access to healthy diets, particularly among low-income populations.

As World Food Day approaches, the session offers a timely opportunity to reflect on the report’s key messages and policy recommendations, and to discuss how building more resilient agrifood systems can help ensure that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food.
