Welcome – Official Opening
A high level opening of the Symposium will take place in the afternoon and it will be followed by a welcome reception.
The opening will include a keynote presentation by Manuel Barange, FAO Symposium convenor and Director of FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy and Resources Division, on the global fishing sustainability challenges and successes.
