Becky Mitchell is a Research Officer for the conflict, violence and development cluster at IDS, focussing on the micro-level effects of violent conflict. Most recently Becky has conducted research within low-income areas of Nairobi, which investigated whether, and how, improving access to livelihoods, jobs and basic services reduced violence. She has worked in many post-conflict contexts. Becky's thematic interests are within conflict, health, women and children, and peacebuilding.
