TOPIC Integration of food safety, Climate change with food and nutrition security.

African Governments has focused on meeting food and nutrition needs of her citizens to support the achievement of a food secured continent. To achieve this, African Union established Nutrition Department in the Africa Agriculture programs. This has been effective in contributing to achievement of food sufficiency targets and plans towards feeding Africa.

In pursuing the achievement of Africa food needs. The impact of food burn diseases became an issue with the discovery of Aflatoxin in foods. Aflatoxin is a bacterial infection that causes health disorder and impact antibacterial to our foods. Aflatoxin sturdy was commissioned with the establishment of Aflatoxin department to Africa Union Agriculture and Nutrition department.

Food safety become a goal to be achieved in feeding Africans. Food safety is key to achieving food and Nutrition Security in Africa.

Integration of food safety, climate change with food and nutrition security has taken a major drive since 2015 with Africa Union establishment of institutions to support and promote the achievement of food safety in all Africa Nations with the establishment of Africa Food Safety and Food and Nutrition week in 2020. This institution supports Africa Countries in working to achieve the attainment of Food safety and Food Nutrition with policy enactment and policy drives and more investments on food safety and Nutrition for the betterment of developing Countries.
