LAUNCH EVENT| THE STATE OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE 2023
at 12.30 – 14.00 hours (CET), the State of Food and Agriculture team launch the new SOFA 2023 report on “Revealing the true cost of food to transform agrifood systems”.
The 2023 edition of the SOFA report focuses on uncovering the hidden impacts of our agrifood systems for informed decision-making. It proposes true cost accounting as an approach to quantify the hidden costs and benefits of our agrifood systems for 154 countries. The findings are a starting point to stimulate debate and dialogue among agrifood systems actors. The 2024 edition of the report will continue on this theme and focus on case studies to highlight the flexibility of this approach to support sustainable agrifood systems transformation.
