Advancing social development for the future of small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea

  • Organized by the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department, in collaboration with the GFCM

  • This workshop will share relevant information on social protection and will identify concrete actions at the regional and national level to contribute to the implementation of the RPOA-SSF in relation to social development (decent work, social protection, gender and youth employment)

High-level conference

  • Advances since the adoption of the Malta MedFish4Ever Declaration

  • Countries and organizations are invited to announce commitments towards reaching the targets set by the Declaration. Commitments should take the form of concrete actions and/or investments that are underway or are being launched.

  • Countries that have not yet signed the MedFish4Ever Declaration and wish to do so are invited to sign during the high-level conference.
