As a follow-up to the harmonization activities conducted by the members of the Working Group 1 (WG1) the overall goal of the upcoming session meeting is to exchange knowledge on and endorse the specific methodologies for the determination of nutrient content of organic and inorganic fertilizers. During the meeting the progress on harmonization of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the determination of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus content in organic and organic fertilizers will be presented.  

These activities and the harmonized SOPs will directly contribute to the fertilizer quality assessment and further capacity development for the laboratories interested in the adoption of the harmonized SOPs. In addition, it is key to the activities of the WG1 to define the governance of the WG1 and the next steps.
