Chile creates an Office for Sustainable Project Management
The Government intends to streamline the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA) and reduce all obstacles and excessive bureaucracy involved in promoting investments.

The GPS Office in Chile, once a Sustainable Project Management office, has just been launched.
Chilean President Sebastián Piñera announced the creation of this office, indicating that the goal is to recover prior levels of investment, as there is a portfolio of stagnant or paralyzed investment projects exceeding 65 billion dollars.
"This Office of Sustainable Project Management (GPS according to its acronym in Spanish) will work to help put those projects that are paralyzed or stagnant into action, in a way that is environmentally-friendly, sustainable and also respectful of the surrounding communities."
