Alliance 2015 is pleased to invite you to a Learning Roundtable on Resilience, Hunger and Poverty on 7^th December 2017 hosted by Irish Aid in Cusack Suite Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland.

The event will be a follow up to the Alliance2015 Roundtable on Scaling Up EU Impact on Community Resilience and Nutrition which was hosted in Dublin back in 2013. Just at the outset of Ireland’s EU Presidency – during which there were EU Council Conclusions on Nutrition and Resilience - the event brought together speakers from the donor community, Alliance2015 implementers, partner country governments and researchers.  Almost five years on, we can now talk about the impacts of resilience-focused programmes and look forward to what the next generation of interventions might look like. The 2017 Global Hunger Index shows long-term progress in reducing hunger in the world. The advances have been uneven, however, and we continue to need to build resilience to repeated natural disasters as well as to the more challenging patterns of conflict. Alliance 2015 would like to take the opportunity to share with a broader audience the interesting results from their own programmes and those of the Alliance partners in order to enable a debate that connects policy and practice.
