Improved Pesticides and Chemicals Management in the Former Soviet Union

The implementation of the project is supported by International partners: Black Smith Institute; Green Cross Belarus; Green Cross Switzerland; The International HCH & Pesticides Association (IHPA); Milieukontakt international (MKI); Pesticide Action Network UK; Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention.

The scale of the problem is too large to be addressed by one agency alone and so, only by working in partnership will sustainable solutions be developed. We are, therefore, working in close partnership and co-operation with other UN Agencies, NGOs and the private sector to achieve our goals.

All partners share a long history of supporting countries in their efforts to combat the challenges posed by stockpiles of highly hazardous chemicals.

Our main partners are:

  • Blacksmith Institute
  • Green Cross Belarus and Switzerland
  • The International HCH & Pesticides Association (IHPA)
  • Milieukontakt International (MKI)
  • Pesticide Action Network UK
  • Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention

The project is co-funded by the European Union
