The Inter-institutional Articulation Meeting (Mesa de Articulación Interinstitucional) for the strengthening of the territorial innovation system of the dairy sector in Boyacá, was held in the city of Tunja on May 12, 2022. This collective space had the participation of 50 delegates from the institutional public sector, producer organizations, academia and private companies and was aimed to share the department's 2022 agenda in terms of innovation. To this end, the progress of the accompaniment of FAO and the strategic partners of the TAP-AIS Project in Boyacá (Colombian Federation of Livestock Farmers and Acerías PazdelRío Foundation) was disseminated, to finally generate a space for interactive dialogue, in which each delegate presented the initiatives that make up its 2022 Innovation Agenda for the dairy chain in Boyacá.

During the meeting it emerged that the challenge for the department of Boyacá continues to be the coordination between institutions. For this reason, it is crucial to promote these spaces for synergy and create opportunities to interact in which the different actors from the public and private sectors and the organizations of the dairy chain define a joint work route.

From the actors participating in this Interinstitutional Articulation meeting, a call was made to have a greater connection and generate these spaces for dialogue in a more recurrent way, because in addition to linking the institutional offer with the territorial demands, they favor the exchange of information, which allows feedback to the initiatives that are already being developed and join efforts to adapt and/or replicate them.

One of the key recommendation for the management of the dairy chain in the region, was the importance to strengthen the agricultural extension service. In fact the demands of the producer organizations are based on a greater presence of the institutions in the territory and the information available from the authorized EPSEAs (Entities providing Agricultural Extension Services).
