The Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP)

TAP network

Launched back in September 2012, the Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP) has formed a coalition of more than 50 global, regional and national partners, coming from the G20 and other countries. TAP partners are encouraged to contribute - and benefit from - the facilitation mechanism that TAP provides. TAP.

TAP partners most recently met in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, in September 2017. On that occasion, TAP Partner organizations and implementing partners of the EU-funded CDAIS project exchanged experiences and learned from each other on the adoption of the Common Framework and on the implementation of the TAP Action Plan 2014-2017 by their organizations and countries in order to strengthen innovation capacities in agriculture.

Becoming a TAP partner

Partners in TAP include national agricultural research, education and extension institutions, private sector, civil society and farmers’ organizations from the G20 and developing countries, as well as key regional and international fora, networks and agencies. The contribution of resources to TAP is made on a voluntary basis. Each TAP partner determines the nature and extent of its participation in the TAP activities, in line with the TAP Action Plan.

As outlined in the Charter for the Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP), organizations/institutions that wish to join as TAP Partners have to submit a letter of interest (explaining how they can contribute to the activities of TAP) to the TAP Secretariat by email: [email protected]  or by post:
