Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Low-Lying Coastal Countries meet in Rome
Rome, 18 November 2005 -? A major Ministerial Conference on the plight of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Low-Lying Coastal Countries opened today at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
In his opening statement, FAO Director-General Jacques Diouf announces plans for a donor meeting in favour of SIDS, next January 2006:
