UN Agencies and the Seed Protection initiative in C.A.R.
The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP), together with their NGO partners, have begun providing seeds, hand tools and food to farming families in the most food-insecure areas of the Central African Republic (C.A.R.). Ciryl Ferrand, FAO/WFP Global Food Security Cluster Coordinator, talks about the initiative, its beneficiaries and the funding gap.
