For millennia, rinderpest, or cattle plague, was a threat to animal health and human livelihoods, primarily in Asia and Europe, and more recently, in Africa. This video shows how early attempts to tackle rinderpest in Europe and elsewhere paved the way for the global eradication of the disease.
