Bridgetown, Barbados - 30 August, 2022 Around the Caribbean and Latin America, the need to focus on the full value of water to society is becoming increasingly important, like in the rest of the world, as the resource continues to face supply and demand challenges. Raising awareness on this was a central goal of the ‘’Focus on the Americas’’ sessions at the Stockholm International Water Institute’s World Water Week held in Stockholm, Sweden, from 24 August to 1 September 2022, in a hybrid online/in-person format.

Brasília, 15 de agosto del 2022 - Durante un panel internacional en el Encuentro Nacional de Catastro Rural, promovido por el Instituto Nacional de Colonización y Reforma Agraria (Incra), en la ciudad de Brasília, Brasil, fueron presentado los principales hallazgos del estudio “El estado del arte de registro y catastro de tierras en América Latina”, desarrollado en el marco del proyecto Apoyo a la gobernanza de la tenencia responsable de la tierra en América Latina y el Caribe, que integra la acciones del Programa de Cooperación Internacional Brasil-FAO.

A capacity-building workshop on Promoting Rural Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship through Digital Innovation was successfully organized by the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Division (PST) and the Inclusive Rural Transformation and Gender Equality Division (ESP) in July 2022, in collaboration with the Center of International Cooperation Service (CICOS), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) of China.  The workshop aimed to facilitate strategic discussions on potential contributions of digital innovation to agriculture and rural development, with the focus on the creation of decent rural employment and entrepreneurship targeting young women and men. Brasília, 26 de julio del 2022 - El proyecto de alimentación escolar del Programa de Cooperación Internacional Brasil-FAO reunió por primera vez el comité técnico directivo de la Red de Alimentación Escolar Sostenible (RAES), el día 21 de julio. Participaron de manera virtual los puntos focales de la Red en más de 10 países de América Latina y el Caribe, donde se abordó el funcionamiento de la Red, sus objetivos, su forma de apoyar a los países y fueron debatidas las prioridades y expectativas de las naciones socias.
