The Committee on Agriculture (COAG) is a Governing Body of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Established in 1971, COAG has over 130 Member Nations and provides guidance on agriculture-related policies, reviews global agricultural issues and trends, and advises on emerging topics. GLEWS+ provides continuous early warning and on-demand risk assessments of global health threats emerging at the human – animal – ecosystem interface, including those with transboundary and zoonotic potential.
COAG Sub-Committee on Livestock

The Fourth Session of the COAG Sub-Committee on Livestock will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 at FAO headquarters in Rome. During this Fourth Session, delegates will address the draft Global Plan of Action for Sustainable Livestock Transformation and the following agenda items related to the three main thematic areas of the Sub-Committee’s Multi-Year Programme of Work (2024-2027)
