The Institute for Animal Welfare and Animal Husbandry ( ITT ) deals with issues relating to the humane treatment of farm animals. This includes their husbandry, transport, stunning and killing. The aim is to evaluate and further develop animal-friendly procedures while simultaneously taking into account conflicts between economics, animal welfare and environmental protection. To this end, both basic and application-oriented research projects are carried out.
