Founded in 1942, CATIE offers graduate programs, conducts applied research, and provides technical assistance to governments, institutions, and communities across Latin America and the Caribbean. Its mission is to promote sustainable development, improve agricultural productivity, and enhance the management of tropical ecosystems through science, training, and knowledge exchange.
