Instituto de Investigaciones Agrobiológicas de Galicia was born in 1953 as a Section of the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Physiology of Madrid, belonging to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). It is located on the Campus Vida of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
