Andalas University is an Indonesian state university located in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. This university is the oldest university outside Java Island which was officially opened on December 23, 1955 by Vice President Mohammad Hatta. At that time, UNAND was the fourth university inaugurated by the Indonesian Government. Andalas University consists of fifteen faculties with the main campus in Limau Manis, Padang. There are also other campuses in Padang, Payakumbuh, and Dharmasraya.
