The Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí (UNACHI) is a multidisciplinary higher education institution. It has its origins in the University of Panama, which taught its first courses in 1951 in the city of David, capital of the province of Chiriqui. The University was created by Law No.26 of 30 August 1994.
