El Niño Risk data

This dataset collection provides global information to support the screening of potential El Niño-related climate, agricultural and food security risks. It includes historical hotspots of agricultural drought during strong and very strong El Niño events, as well as seasonal risk outlooks for drought and flooding. The layers combine information from FAO’s Agricultural Stress Index System (ASIS), seasonal climate forecasts from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), and IPC/CH food insecurity data. Together, they provide evidence to support climate risk assessment, early warning and early action.
