Human Population Density Global 2

The new Human Population Density Global 2 has been published on the Agro-informatics platform. It provides global estimated density of people per grid-cell for the period 2015-2030 at 1km resolution. Global 2 combines boundary-matched subnational population counts from both the circa-2010 and circa-2020 census rounds. Various demographic interpolation and projection methods are used to fill in the annual gaps and project totals out to 2030. The resulting national totals are aligned with the UN World Population Prospects 2024 estimates.
