Sierra Leone Hand-in-Hand Geospatial Analysis

As part of the the Hand‑in‑Hand (HiH) Initiative, the Digital FAO and Agro-informatics Division's (CSI) Geospatial Analysis Team released 14 layers on the FAO Agro-informatics Platform supporting suitability assessments for crop and livestock agrifood systems infrastructure in Sierra Leone.

Using geographic information systems multi-criteria evaluation (GIS-MCE), these datasets integrate and weight diverse geospatial criteria to inform evidence‑based investment planning. These datasets help identify optimal locations for agrifood infrastructure and are intended to accelerate rural development, reduce vulnerabilities, and promote sustainable growth under the HiH Initiative.
