Vietnam Hand in Hand Geospatial Analysis

A new release of a suite of GIS‑MCE datasets for Viet Nam to support suitability assessments for agrifood systems infrastructure, with a focus on the rice value chain. Using geographic information systems multi‑criteria evaluation (GIS‑MCE), these datasets integrate and weight diverse geospatial criteria to inform evidence‑based investment planning. The release includes rice processing and storage location‑suitability layers and accessibility layers. These datasets help identify optimal locations for agrifood infrastructure—such as rice milling and storage facilities and logistics hubs—and are intended to support and accelerate rural development, reduce vulnerabilities, and promote sustainable, climate‑resilient growth under the Hand‑in‑Hand Initiative.
