ФАО осуществляет свои программы и проекты на местах в самых разных регионах мира: их цель – содействовать внедрению методов и стратегий управления, которые способствуют устойчивому использованию, сохранению и восстановлению биоразнообразия в агропродовольственных
системах, и, как следствие, обеспечивать устойчивое снабжение продовольствием и множеством других товаров и услуг миллионов мелких производителей, а также гарантировать им безопасность в плане средств к существованию.
Опираясь на междисциплинарные
знания и опыт, накопленные в ходе работы в секторах рыболовства, аквакультуры, лесного хозяйства, животноводства и растениеводства, ФАО оказывает странам поддержку в деле всестороннего учета проблематики биоразнообразия и внедрения комплексных, ландшафтных
и экосистемных подходов. Ниже приводится информация о программах, проектах, инструментах и подходах, осуществляемых и применяемых ФАО на страновом уровне.
Оказание поддержки осуществлению стратегии ФАО в области биоразнообразия
и вклад в Глобальную рамочную программу в области биоразнообразия на период после 2020 года Основные цели данного проекта заключаются следующем: 1) активизировать работу ФАО области биоразнообразия и обеспечить всесторонний учет вопросов биоразнообразия работе ФАО путем разработки стратегии в области биоразнообразия и соответствующих планов действий; 2) содействовать вовлечению секторов сельского хозяйства, лесного хозяйства и рыболовства в процесс разработки Глобальной рамочной программы в области
биоразнообразия на период после 2020 года. КБР; и 3) содействовать диалогу между правительствами, сообществами специалистов практиков и другими заинтересованными сторонами.
