The partnership will support the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD) in developing innovative technologies thus improving the capacity of veterinarians against Foot-and-Mouth and similar transboundary animal diseases. The partnership will focus on improving technological capabilities within the FAO EuFMD team, identifying highly specialized profiles that might support the workplan, increasing diversity and inclusion within the team and offering a path of professional growth to high-potential profiles.
Support has been provided for the control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease by leveraging science and technology, machine learning and algorithms to generate animal population and vaccine usage estimations.
CodeOp has supported EuFMD needs by supplying profiles for full stack developers and data analysts. Among the 39 profiles proposed, eight were hired as consultants for the team and three are working in the team at this moment.
