Launch of FAO’s partnership with the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI)
The Partnerships and UN Collaboration Division (PSU) and Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment (OCB) are pleased to invite you to join the official launch of FAO’s partnership with the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI).
Find out how this collaboration aims to:
- Translate climate needs into bankable finance solutions
- Promote inclusive finance for rural women, youth and smallholders
- Strengthen public–private dialogue across agrifood value chains
- Mobilize resources for climate-resilient agrifood systems
The event will highlight the added value of combining FAO’s global expertise, data, and tools with WSBI’s extensive network of retail banks to advance climate-resilient agrifood systems.
By building on synergies from FAO’s climate change project portfolio, it can support a global network of banks in designing climate-responsive, inclusive investments.
🌱 Why Join?
Join us for an engaging panel discussion and gain insights from leading voices in climate finance and agrifood transformation, including World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI), Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO), LAPO Microfinance Bank Nigeria, and FAO’s Rural Transformation and Gender Equality Division (ESP).
The event will explore opportunities for financial innovation, rural inclusion, and joint action to bridge the gap between global climate finance and local agricultural needs. The FAO-WSBI collaboration will be presented as a concrete example of turning climate finance commitments into tangible results for farmers on the ground.
