Bishkek - FAO Director-General QU Dongyu today concluded a four-day official visit to Kyrgyzstan, where he took part in a tree-planting ceremony, opened an exhibition and toured a number of agricultural facilities including family farms after attending a conference focused on the world’s mountain regions.

Bishkek - FAO Director-General, Dr QU Dongyu and H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, met during the Director-General’s three-day visit in Kyrgyzstan, to discuss current collaboration and means to further strengthen relations between FAO and Kyrgyzstan.

Rome - The Director-General welcomed the Minister and appreciated the long-standingcollaboration between FAO and Uganda. He further appreciated and congratulated Uganda for attaining food security, notwithstanding the prevailing challenges. He reiterated FAO's commitment to continue to provide technical support to the country and to strengthen cooperation.

Boao, China – FAO Director-General QU Dongyu set out a multi-layered vision for the transformation of agrifood systems to be more efficient, more inclusive, more resilient and more sustainable as he addressed the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 on the last day of an official visit to China after a series of bilateral meetings. The trip also saw visits to innovative farms and research institutions helping to put the transformation into practice and advance the Four Betters agenda - better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life for all, leaving no one behind.
