Global AgriInno Challenge 2025 enters final stage
The Global AgriInno Challenge 2025 is moving into its decisive phase, spotlighting nine youth-led innovations selected from a record 519 applications spanning 97 countries.
Co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Zhejiang University, and Pinduoduo, the Challenge mobilizes young entrepreneurs to deliver scalable digital solutions that advance sustainable, resilient and inclusive agrifood systems.
This year’s theme, Harnessing Emerging Technologies and Digital Public Infrastructure for Sustainable Agrifood Systems, reflects FAO’s Four Betters vision: Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment and a Better Life.
The selected finalists address critical priorities including climate resilience, supply chain efficiency and nutritional security, offering transformative approaches with the potential for global impact.
The finalists will now participate in Innovation for Good, an intensive programme of mentorship, technical guidance and pitch preparation, culminating in the Pitch Event on 29 August 2025 (09:00 CEST) in Hangzhou, China and online.
The event will connect innovators with investors, development partners and global networks.
Winning teams will receive seed funding and the opportunity to present their solutions at the FAO Science and Innovation Forum 2025 in Rome.
