Agrivoltaics at Scale

Transforming Innovation into Bankable Investment Opportunities

As agrifood systems face rising energy costs, unstable energy markets, climate pressures and increasing land-use constraints, agrivoltaics is emerging as a promising dual-use solution. Yet scaling requires more than technology. It demands aligned business models, supportive policies and innovative financing mechanisms that deliver long-term value for farmers, investors, energy developers, agrifood companies and policy makers alike.

The session will feature a keynote from EURAC Research - Institute for Renewable Energy and a panel with representatives from:

  • Menz & Gasser - a fruit processing and marmalade producer committed to achieving energy self-sufficiency
  • Green City Wallonie - a smart solar infrastructure provider, including agrivoltaics solutions for intensive greenhouses
  • Monte Do Pasto - a livestock producer using agrivoltaics to improve animal welfare and energy transition
