Camera Phones in a Co-op

24/11/2008
The Rural e-Services project has been using mobile camera phones with a farmer owned producer co-operative in Madhya Pradesh, India. The phones are carried by 'service providers' who serve 5 villages each. The service providers can create audio-visual messages (up to 6 photos & an audio track) and send them to a webserver. The co-op's agricultural advisor then responds with a voice call. Information about the project is available from: http://linux.odi.org.uk/eservblog/ Andy
