Greetings from the e-Agriculture team and welcome to the first week of “The Role of ICT in Agricultural Value Chains�, our seventh online forum! Over the next two weeks we will be sharing experience and insight and expanding our collective understanding of this important topic for sustainable rural development. Our discussions will be guided by a series of questions introduced into the forum each day, with special comments and leadership from our eight distinguished Subject Matter Experts. The questions will only be opened according to the time schedule indicated on Question itself. We have also created a special section for sharing publications, web links, and other unique Resources on this subject. From the collective inputs of this online discussion and the shared resources, the e-Agriculture team will prepare a policy brief on what you have identified as the successes, key issues, challenges and future role of ICT in agricultural value chains.
