Section 2: Concepts of a data infrastructure for agriculture and the key data categories relevant for agriculture

09/06/2017

This section introduces the concept of a data infrastructure for agriculture and the key data categories relevant for agriculture. It explains, for each category, why it is important and for whom. In addition, it discusses how difficult or how easy it will be for governments to publish the data. For each data category, we provide examples of data sharing by government and highlight relevant initiatives that work on standardization and interoperability.

  • We like to know what data is needed to support agriculture?
  • What is the expected impact of different dataset?
  • How are the data set recommendations in the AgPack perceived by the tech community, end users and governments?
