Hi Michel, This is Kashfia from Bangladesh. The`Farmers Home' initiative sounds exciting and interestingly much similar with our activities in Bangladesh. Win Inc, is working with GP CIC at field level to deliver information and advisory services to the rural farmers. We are facing few challenges like low awareness among the farmers, reliability of the info and developing market price information service. One important issue is that we also found the private sector, mainly the input supplier is keen to start promote their produces through the Telecenter or "One Stop Service', but the motivation of the center owner or operator is yet to resolve. As a center has different services and non-info services generate better return to the local center, so they are not motivated to promote the information services. We are also working to developing a partnership with a local Call Center operator whether can introduce "Agri-Help line' but yet develop the business model, mainly the revenue model and looking for a way to see whether “cost of call' can be reduced by getting advertisement or any other sources. Also initial investment for "call center solution' is also very high. The good news is that the regulatory constraint will be removed by next month by the govt. of Bangladesh.
