A database of 54 Case Studies was developed as part of a FAO sponsored research project on enhancing Fisheries programmes through the use of ICTs. A summary of the full list is published here (http://www.e-agriculture.org/ict_project.html) for the first time. This illustrates how the full range of ICT tools, from specialist fishing technologies to media technologies and general purpose ICTs, are being used across the different fisheries value chains. This was a small research project and the database almost certainly excludes many important examples. Further, the data is already one year old, and in need of amendment and revisions. We invite participants to review the list and: • Suggest amendments or corrections to existing records • Suggest additions • Ask for more information about the examples.

On behalf of all of the e-consultation planning and facilitation, I'd like to thank you for reading and contributing to our e-consultation. Attached to this post is a summary of our proceedings. The report from the face-to-face in Rome will be made available later. We'll post a note here with a link to the document on the CGIAR ICT-KM site. The next steps will be to incorporate your input and use it in the user needs assessment process. So once again, THANK YOU! Nancy for the team

Posted on behalf of Enrica Porcari (CIO, CGIAR): Dear Participants, We have now officially closed this dialogue on "Opening Access to CGIAR Research and Knowledge". Many thanks to FAO for providing the platform for this dialogue, and to Nancy White who so ably facilitated the discussion, but, most importantly, THANK YOU for your participation and contribution of ideas. From my reading of the discussion, I am pleased to find strong support for what we are trying to achieve with this strategy - maximizing the access to and the use of CGIAR iGPGs (Information Global Public Goods) for improving agricultural research for development activities. We will take advantage of your wisdom to improve the strategy document and make clarifications as warranted. While the discussions and documents are now being moved to the archives, I understand that you will still have the opportunity to post additional comments in the coming months. We will continue to monitor that space in order to make further changes to the strategy as appropriate based on new inputs. You can obtain the latest information on the strategy and other relevant consultative activities, by visiting the ICT-KM Program's website at ictkm.cigar.org. Again, thank you for your participation. Enrica Porcari
