Global AgriInno Challenge 2026: Preliminary Results Announced

The Global AgriInno Challenge 2026 completed its first stage. 13 youth-led innovation solutions were selected from 137 valid applications out of 191 applications in total, and gained the opportunity to participate in the final pitch event in China.  

Co-organized by FAO, Zhejiang University and Pinduoduo, the Global AgriInno Challenge has become one of the flagship initiatives after six years’ cultivation. Under the theme of “Accelerating Innovation for Resilient Agrifood Systems in Small Island Developing States (SIDS)”, the 2026 edition turns its focus to Small Island Developing States (SIDS), which suffer disproportionately from climate change, food insecurity, isolation, and weak innovation ecosystems, yet are frequently ignored by global investors and technology leaders.
