The Digital Agriculture Forum (DAF) 2022 will take place in virtual mode via Zoom on 9 December 2022, Friday.
The DAF 2022, themed “Enabling Digital Transformation in Agriculture with Emerging Technologies”, is the third edition of the annual joint event co-organized by FAO and Zhejiang University to host policy and technical discussions and share knowledge and good practices in the area of digital agriculture as well as digital innovation.
Since 2019, the DAF has attracted over 600 participants from more than 80 countries, gathering individuals and institutions from all over the world to join through panel discussions, speeches and showcases. This year, it will focus more on emerging technologies and their application, and the impact of the technologies during the Digital Agriculture Innovation Hubs’ implementation.
Come and join us in getting to know the world of technologies and innovation and how they manage to change the agrifood system.

About Digital Agriculture Forum
Since 2019, the DAF attracted more than 600 participants from over 80 countries, gathering individuals and institutions from all over the world to join through panel discussions, speeches and showcases. The forum has gathered experts from public agencies, research institutions, as well as international organizations to share their experiences of promoting digital agriculture to fight with hunger and poverty.
The DAF 2022 serves as one of the main sessions of the Digital Agriculture Expo. It is a one-day event with an opening ceremony in the morning and technical discussions in the afternoon, which would bring experiences on emerging technologies such as Extended Reality, Blockchain, and IoT (Internet of Things) applications in the agrifood systems by the international organizations, academia and private sector.
Objectives of the Digital Agriculture Forum 2022
Digital Agriculture Forum 2022 themed “Enabling Digital Transformation in Agriculture with Emerging Technologies” has the key objectives as follows:
- to showcase good and promising practices on the application of emerging technologies in agriculture
- to explore how rural farmers and value chain actors can benefit from adoption of digital technologies
- to demonstrate how digital technologies and digital innovation can foster rural transformation and address the critical challenges in agrifood sector
- to call for attention on the inclusiveness of digital agriculture and leave no one behind
- to bring high-level dialogue for policymakers and provide evidence for decisions making in digital agriculture field
- to probe into the impacts of emerging technologies in Digital Agriculture Innovation Hubs and policies/strategies that contribute to further development
