FAO Foresight Method Survey: Are You Foreseeing Change and Innovation in agrifood systems?

20/08/2025

Do you see yourself as anticipating the future, spotting trends, and driving innovation in agrifood systems?

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and its Office of Innovation invites you to take part in the Foresight Method Application Mapping Survey—a unique opportunity to share your experiences and help shape the next generation of foresight practices

This survey gathers insights on how foresight methods—including scenario building, horizon scanning, policy simulation, visioning, road-mapping, and more—are applied across projects and thematic areas. Your input will help FAO understand current practices, strengths, and challenges, and identify innovative ways to enhance foresight methodologies

Why participate?

  • Contribute to building better foresight tools for global food and agriculture systems
  • Share lessons from your projects, initiatives, and experiments
  • Help FAO develop capacity and guidance for member countries through the FutureFood-I Labs initiative
  • Be part of a community that is actively driving change and preparing for the future

We especially encourage researchers, project managers, policymakers, students, innovators, and networks to take part and share the survey widely within their networks, mailing lists, and communities of practice. Your voices are crucial to anticipating challenges, seizing opportunities, and shaping resilient, future-ready agrifood systems

Take the survey now (deadline: 31st August) and join the movement
