Dr. Mazharul Aziz is an Agronomist, specialized in Agrometeorology, Agromet Advisory Services, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in crop sector of Bangladesh.
He has been working for more than 27 years for the development of farmer’s livelihood through dissemination of modern agricultural technologies and natural resources management, which have been aimed at the empowerment of the poor farmers of the country.
Presently he is working as Chief Instructor, Agriculture Training Institute, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Previously he was engaged as Project Director of a project titled “Agrometeorological Information Systems Development Project”, Component-C of “Bangladesh Weather and Climate Services Regional Project”, funded by The World Bank. He had also worked with FAO Bangladesh as National Project Coordinator of a project titled “Enhancing Food Security through Improved Crop-Water Management Practices in the Southern Coastal areas of Bangladesh”.
