Mildred Barungi is currently working as a Research Fellow at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), Uganda. She holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics. Mildred has done analytical research in the agriculture sector and some of the areas she has investigated include: a) Transaction cost analysis of input demand by smallholder cotton farmers; b) Landcare bylaws, adoption and profitability of sustainable land management practices; c) Constraints to fertiliser use in Uganda; d) Impact evaluation of the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) programme; and a critical review of the single spine agricultural extension system. Most of this research is published in peer-reviewed journals or EPRC Research Series.
