My name is Dr. Doris Jean Williams Brown and owned and operated Brown's Restaurant Servers Academy which was a state-licensed educational academy that provided Training Education and Employment for Waiters and Waitress. The Academy also provided additional training for individuals that wanted to enter the Hospitality Industry. I have over  50 years of loyal service to the people with whom I have worked and mentored. Also, I have provided education and nutritional support to children, seniors, and the youth population. Public Service has been a long interest and I have always tried to remain inclusive so that all were welcome at my table with kindness and grace. I also provided service for sports and mentoring for The Special Olympics and the 4-H Organization. I started a garden club around the year of 1978 in Michigan and the gardening educational services are still operating as a community resource today. I hosted a cooking show using government-donated food items and commodities that were sent from the USDA Government to help individuals who needed help regarding nutrition and cooking healthy meals
