Olanrewaju Oniyitan is the Founder & CEO of W-Holistic Business Solutions (W-HBS). She is a thought leader on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), micro businesses/informal sector and base-of-the-pyramid (BoP) development in developing and transition economies. Her consulting experience covers a wide variety of businesses, associations, international development agencies of varying sizes and scales in various sectors. Olanrewaju sits on the board of several businesses.
Before establishing W-HBS, she worked in the capacity of Head, Strategy & Business Development and as a Senior Consultant, with most of her career at KPMG Professional Services under the Business Advisory Services unit and the Risk Management unit. Lanre was the Lagos State Coordinator & Private Sector Development Consultant for a DFID/Adam Smith International initiative (ENABLE Nigeria), which was set up to strengthen Business Membership Organisations in Nigeria using M4P principles. In this capacity, she supported the Government, Media, BMO and Research portfolios of the initiative. She also acted as an Independent Business Monitor (under SchoolforStart-Ups UK), Marker (under Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria) and Trainer (under Growbridge Advisors, UK) on the Federal Government of Nigeria initiative - YouWiN - an innovative business plan competition aimed at job creation by encouraging and supporting aspiring entrepreneurial youth in Nigeria to develop and execute business ideas. Lanre is on the Case Study writing team of the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University.
Over the years, Lanre has guest lectured at top enterprise development centres, developed numerous business plans, and written several articles on entrepreneurship, business planning, capital raising and the overall business operating environment. She has been featured on various media and on various panels, seminars and conferences due to her contribution to entrepreneurship and SME development in Nigeria.
Lanre holds a First Class degree in Business Administration, a Certified Business Development Analyst (CBDA) and an Associate Accounting Technician (AAT). She is a graduate member of CEM 15/BET 1, an entrepreneurial programme by Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), Pan-Atlantic University. She is also a Certified SMEToolkit trainer, as awarded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
Lanre is a seasoned writer, professional speaker, trainer, consultant and an enterprise advocate. She particularly enjoys helping people start-up their businesses and also assisting early stage companies prepare for significant growth. She also specializes in finding and keeping great talent for entrepreneurs. Lanre has a strong passion for women and youth entrepreneurial development.
