Salim LAMINE is a Senior Lecturer in Remote Sensing & GIS and Precision agriculture. He received his PhD from the University of Aberystwyth (UK) in cooperation with the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (Algeria). He studied the GNSS applications at the University of Nottingham (UK), and he worked as an assistant researcher at the university of Aberystwyth (UK). In 2017, He won the International Prize for the Environment “ECOWORLD” from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Salim’s research area is multidisciplinary; it includes Remote Sensing; Hyperspectral Imaging; GIS; Field Spectroradiometry; Aerial and space mapping; Heavy metal mapping; Precision Agriculture; Soil Geochemistry; Hydro-informatics; Geo-Statistics; Validation of soil moisture data and energy fluxes from Earth Observation satellites and SVAT models. He is author/co-author of +50 peer-reviewed papers published in highly respected journals, +100 international conferences, +5 book chapters. Recently, he published a book about Remote sensing Applications and he is editing another book about Precision Agriculture with ELSEVIER which will be published in early 2022.
