My name is Simeon von Salakpi. I am highly privileged to introduce myself to you all.
I graduated as a Bachelor of Science degree holder in Computer Science and Statistics at University of Ghana, Legon: 1988
I have been working with Ministry of Food & Agriculture (MoFA) in Ghana as Information Communication Technology (ICT) Manager and Deputy Director ICT in charge of policy formulation implementation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of ICT issues for 25 years now.
I had my post graduate studies in Management Information Systems (MIS) at USDA Graduate School, Washington DC, USA. Another MIS at University of Bonn, Germany. Advanced IT at NIIT, India. ICT in Kobe University, Japan among others.
I had my second degree; Masters in ICT at Aalborg University, Denmark: 2010 with project work entitled “Developing a Business Model for an ICT-led E-Agriculture in the rural areas of Ghana” of which Professor Erik Skouby was my supervisor.
I used the Masters’ level skills acquired in Aalborg University to facilitate the implementation of E-Agriculture Project in Ghana sponsored by the World Bank under the auspices of Ministry of Food and Agriculture which is on-going.
I am now pursuing PhD in ICT at Aalborg University, Denmark with project work entitled “Developing a Business Model for ICTs in the development of Ghana. E-Agriculture Project as a Case study.
