GENERAL INFORMATION The 24th Session of the Codex Committee on Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Foods (CCRVDF24) will be held from April 23-27, 2018, in Chicago, United States of America at InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. The plenary session will open on Monday, April 23, at 09:30 a.m. and conclude after the report adoption on Friday, April 27. The session will be conducted in English, French and Spanish. On Sunday April, 22 the Physical Working Group on the Priority List of Veterinary Drugs requiring Evaluation or Re-evaluation by JECFA will take place from 09:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at the same venue. On-site registration (to collect your badges and other materials) will take place on Saturday, April 21, from 14:00 – 18:00, Sunday, April 22 from 08:00 -18:00 and Monday, April, 23 starting at 08:00. ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION The U.S. Codex Office is using the Codex Online Registration System (ORS) to register delegates for the CCRVDF meeting, via the link here below. Please note that the invitation to CCCRVDF24 issued by FAO and WHO requests that delegates register by March 23, 2018. Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Point of Observers Organizations. If the login and password have not been received, please contact [email protected]. We would encourage all delegates who expect to attend CCRVDF24 to register well in advance to ensure that appropriate seating arrangements will be available for them at the meeting. Please note that the CCRVDF meeting registration is a separate process from the hotel reservations for sleeping accommodations at the Intercontinental Hotel (please see section CCRVDF Venue Hotel in the Information for Delegates here below). Those who will require a visa to enter the United States are strongly encouraged to begin the visa application process as soon as possible. Most delegates will be considered “independent travelers” and will need to apply for a B1/B2 visa. IMPORTANT: This is to inform you that we have uploaded the revised provisional agenda for CCRVDF24 (CX/RVDF 18/24/1 Rev.1) to reflect that document CX/RVDF 18/24/9 “Discussion paper on the revision of the criteria for the use of multi residue analytical methods for the determination and identification of veterinary drugs in foods in CXG 71-2009” related to agenda item 9 will not be issued.
